Solar Eclipse
my soul suffers a solar eclipse when you’re close by
like the evanescent blooming moon in a solitary night
like the western mountains shrouding in silence
like sorrows of yesteryear slowly settling down
you’re next to me yet of you I think
of your silky hair spreading over the pillow at night
you wake up, infinitely fragile
like a black pearl drifting in the violin’s dreamy sighs
i’m at the horizon far, far away
in sleepy waves and blue winds of exile
in the singing rain at the forest’s edge at night
to gently welcome you back with undulating waves
i’m in your heart emptied of hope
i miss our rivers and mountains
and the vast expanse of their absence
i miss the raging clouds over the land now deprived of ocean
where there are wordless imprints on clear thin sand
