Searching for Memory Imprints
in the Moonlight
My tears are like the prisoner,
which holds you back from being re-incarnated
I have been mourning you for those many years.
My wandered soul has been searching for our lost memories.
Thirteen years swept away by like a dream.
I have been languishing since you left.
The lone sky stood still in waiting.
The desolate Ngu wharf awaited past midnight for your return.
The Spring woke my ancient sadness up.
My melancholic heart yearned for you ever since.
Our separate worlds are surmounted with the unknown sadness.
Only traces of the birds’ silhouettes are subtly seen around here.
I have promised myself to seek the inner peace,
stay away from the ephemeral chaos of life.
And gone are those days of performances.
I keep searching for our memory imprints in the moonlight.
Yet I could only feel the cold smog falling densely in the far distance
